Scentre Group announces Mark Bloom's retirement and the appointment of Elliott Rusanow to the role of CFO

Scentre Group today announced that Chief Financial Officer Mark Bloom will retire from his role at the Group’s AGM in April 2019, following over 15 years of service with Scentre Group and previously Westfield Group.

Scentre Group’s Chief Executive Officer Peter Allen paid tribute to Mr Bloom as a key member of the executive team.

“Mark has made an outstanding contribution to the performance of Scentre Group since its formation in June 2014. I have been fortunate in having worked closely with Mark for nearly 15 years and would like to personally thank him for his wise counsel and support over this period.”

Mr Bloom said, “As I retire from full time executive work I am especially proud of what I have been able to contribute to Scentre Group since its establishment.  Scentre Group now has the highest quality portfolio of centres, has a highly engaged and energetic team, and is strategically well placed to succeed into the future.”

Scentre Group further announced that Elliott Rusanow will be appointed Chief Financial Officer on Mark’s retirement. Mr Rusanow brings relevant experience to the role, most recently based in the United States as CFO of Westfield Corporation.

Commenting on Mr Rusanow’s appointment, Mr Allen said, “I am pleased that we have found someone of Elliott’s calibre, experience and particularly knowledge of our industry to ensure a seamless transition. I am looking forward to working with Elliott again, and to his contribution as CFO as we execute our strategy.”
