Thursday 21 October 2010

Today, 21 October at 9am the extended Westfield Chartwell in Hamilton opens the doors to its newest stores for the first time that will have fashion followers flocking to get the latest looks.

The $NZ33 million expansion of Westfield Chartwell has attracted a number of leading fashion brands, including Country Road, which has opened its first Waikato store at the centre.

Westfield New Zealand Director, Justin Lynch says: “securing the first Country Road store for the Waikato along with leading brands such as Witchery has met a key objective. This objective was to strengthen the fashion offer at Westfield Chartwell.”

“It’s fabulous to have these leading fashion brands headlining for Westfield Chartwell as Hamilton’s fashion destination.”

The new Farmers two-level department store joins the new fashion-focused offering for the centre. Shoppers will be delighted with the new store look and feel that Farmers has delivered.

Farmers Managing Director, Rod McDermott said: “Farmers has long wanted to be in a position to offer a full product range and to find a way to extend Farmers fashion offer at Westfield Chartwell. The expansion has enabled us to achieve both these goals and to be the anchor tenant was an easy business decision”.

Other high profile brands opening today include Barkers, Identity, Rodd & Gunn, Lovisa, Virtu, Theobroma Chocolate Lounge, Synergy Hair and Esquires. More high profile brands including in Jacqui E, Dotti and Postie will open in the former Farmers area in 2011.
