Scentre Group media statement, 13 April 2025: One-year anniversary of Westfield Bondi tragedy

Scentre Group Chief Executive Officer, Elliott Rusanow said: “Today is a time of immense grief and sorrow for many in our community.

“On this day, we remember the six innocent lives lost on the 13th of April 2024.

“We again extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and all those impacted by the devastating attack.

“It is impossible to fathom their loss.

“We commend and thank the NSW Police, emergency first responders, our team members, business partners and members of the public for their brave and courageous actions in the most terrible of circumstances.

“We remember the way the community came together in the days after the attack to stand together in solidarity and support each other.

“We continue to provide counselling and mental health support services to the community, business partners and our team.

“We are grateful for the continued support the community has shown to each other and to our team and business partners.

“We extend our thanks to the NSW Government and Waverley Council for their collaboration and support to observe the one-year anniversary in a respectful and compassionate way.”
