Scentre Group CEO Elliott Rusanow said:

“Today Westfield Bondi will host a Community Reflection Day between 11:00am and 5:00pm for the community to visit and pay their respects following the tragic events last Saturday.

The day will be on quiet settings with no retail trade.

All Westfield destinations will mark the Community Reflection Day by displaying only the black ribbon on digital screens.

Westfield Bondi will re-open for trade on Friday 19 April at the normal trading hours of 9:30am to 6:00pm.

Since the tragedy last Saturday, our priority has been engaging with the victims’ families, those directly impacted and the community on how to respond.

We have been engaging directly with our business partners throughout this period to support them, including providing counselling and mental health support.

In light of the tragic events, rent at Westfield Bondi for the week from Saturday 13 April until Friday 19 April inclusive will be waived.

Our Businesses team will continue to engage directly with each of our business partners on the support they need to re-open and reconnect with their customers and the community.”
