Our Technology team plays an essential role within our business:
supporting our online and physical Westfield destinations through our digital platforms and infrastructure services
creating technology solutions for our retail partners that help them connect with customers
supporting our team of 2,000+ people to be effective, whilst reducing technology risk and enabling best-in-class cyber security.
With this broad remit, our Technology team has capability across almost all technology disciplines, including product, service specialists, project managers, product managers, architects, engineers, data and cyber security.
Our Westfield platform encompasses our 42 physical destinations, our websites and digital channels, Westfield membership and Westfield gift cards.
The Technology team supports each of these, building and operating solutions and working to evolve them to deliver connected, easy and extraordinary experiences now and into the future.
An example of our team’s work in this area is building the digital Westfield gift card, which integrates with Apple Pay and Google Pay and gives customers real-time card balance and spend history. Another is our in-centre wi-fi networks which enable both a customer service and connectivity for our enterprise devices.
We are building platforms that allow us to be true business partners to retailers and brands, supporting them to connect with more people.
A recent example of this includes upgrading our national network of digital screens, SmartScreens and SuperScreens. This upgrade means we have the capability to support advertising partners’ campaigns, including dynamic content serving 4K display resolution, enhanced audience targeting and verification for programmatic buys. We are also creating solutions to enable our partners to interact with us to enable business growth and generate value.
Our team plays a pivotal role providing core services that support our 2,000+ team members across Australia and New Zealand achieve great things. We’re focused on frictionless and simple technology that removes barriers to connection and enables delivery.
Examples of some of our core services include ERP, customer relationship management and payroll. Our workplace team brings thought leadership from internal and external networks to inform our workplace strategy.
